“What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?” -E.H.
2015. Raise your hand if you know where it went? I blinked and here we are. Cray-zeee. So,let’s sum up my year so far:
- I got an awesome job.
- I moved into my own place.
- I adopted my second fur-child.
- I joined a seriously great fellowship.
- And I just bought my domain name, finally.
Can we just reflect to a few months back when I pretty much thought I was on the fast track to nowhere? Man, God sure is good.
Don’t get me wrong. I still wish I was jet-setting across the US, but that will just have to wait. And, surprisingly enough, I think I’m finally okay with that because I have so much to look forward to in the next few months. The first thing is the GRE. I know. It’s actually kind of dreadful, but I need it to apply for the Graduate program I’m looking at. So, hey-o to the plus side. I’m also kind of, sort of thrilled about my job and all of the possibilities (cue my happy dance here). And lastly, I’m really, freaking excited to be figuring out my school plans.
I still get restless, but this stuff helps. And I see a weekend trip in my near future so cheers to that. For now I think I’ll hit the beach this week if the rain decides to take a mini hiatus for two seconds to let me actually enjoy it.
One step at a time – or so I keep telling myself.
